On January 9th, 2023, the Louisville Agricultural Club (LAC) celebrated 75 years of community, cooperation, and collaboration. From new members to those who first attended more than 40 years ago, the room was alive with a community of agriculture enthusiasts.

Meet the winners of our 2023 Agricultural Scholarships.

Our 2022 Louisville Agricultural Club scholarship winners are Jackson Baird, Teodora Slavova, and Ella Hoehner.

Louisville Ag Club member Dr. Jeff Young, was recently awarded the Administrative Leadership Award by the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service.

As executive director at Blackacre Conservancy, Dennis Craig wears many hats. Some nights you may find him out in the field unloading hay. On other nights he could be doing crowd monitoring at one of the many events Blackacre hosts.

Congratulations to members Carl and Mary Kramer, for earning Leadership Southern Indiana’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

Dr. Laura Stephenson, Dean and Director of the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, was the April speaker.

The March 2022 meeting featured LAC member Jennifer Elwell, who is the executive director of the Kentucky Agriculture and Environment in the Classroom, Inc.

Louisville Agriculture Club members were sad to hear of Dean Wallace’s passing. He was a former president and an important part of Kentucky’s agriculture community.

Louisville Agriculture Club secretary Phillis Mudd was so surprised when she was named the 2021 Outstanding Service Award winner at the December meeting.
