Remembering Dean Wallace

Dean Wallace was a long-time member of the Louisville Agriculture Club and served as president in 1978. He was also awarded the Outstanding Service Award in 1986. He will be missed by many.

Dean Marshall Wallace, 73, passed away on Thursday January 20, 2022 in Louisville.

Dean was born in Cleveland, VA where early in life he developed a connection to the outdoors and nature. He was a 1970 graduate of the University of Tennessee where he met his wife, Bonnie, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

Dean went on to work for the University of Kentucky for 23 years as an Agricultural Extension Agent for Jefferson County before becoming the Executive Director for the Council for Burley Tobacco. Dean was always enthusiastic to meet new people and to build relationships. He was an active member of the Louisville Ag Club and the Kentucky Farm Bureau Association. His enthusiasm for hunting and fishing trips often took him back to his roots in Virginia.

Dean leaves behind his wife Bonnie, son Daniel (Peggy), and daughter Lisa (Jared). He is also survived by his brother, Sherman and sister, Rose.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or Dare to Care
