Mary Courtney is Vice President of Agriculture Lending at Independence Bank, Shelbyville, KY.  Mary is a well-known face in the agricultural community of Shelby County.

She credits FFA for much of her success saying, "FFA was my “sport.” It instilled my competitive spirit, taught me the benefits of getting out of my comfort zone and how hard work and long hours of being intentional pay off. High expectations and discipline were given, and I’m still grateful for that. The experience and teachings played an intricate role for me as a young woman, as a farmer and now as a banker!"
