Please join us at the Kentucky Farm Bureau, 9201 Bunsen Parkway, Louisville, KY, on Friday, May 10, for our Ag Club meeting/luncheon.  The meeting will begin at 11:30 am.  Bring a friend and enjoy a delicious lunch.  Let’s all get out and enjoy the spring weather and visit with other members and friends of the Ag Club. It’s going to be beautiful weather and time to get out in the garden and plant.  Here at Extension, it is always recommended to plant after Derby, so there won’t be a frost to hurt your plants.

Lunch Presentation – Dean Schamore

Dean Schamore resides in Hardinsburg and is a three-term former State Representative in the Kentucky General Assembly. He is a Veteran of the U.S . Navy and a Gulf War Veteran.  He is the President of Digital Connections Plus, an IT company he started in 1993. He is currently Chairman of the Lincoln Trail Workforce Investment Board and has served as President of the Breckinridge County Chamber of Commerce.  While in the General Assembly, Dean served on the Agricultural Committee, Tobacco Settlement Committee, Appropriations and Revenue Committee, Veterans Committee, and Banking and Insurance Committee.

In January 2022, the Biden Administration appointed Mr. Schamore as the new State Executive Director (SED) for the USDA Kentucky Farm Service Agency.  He joined the Kentucky FSA team on January 3, 2022.
